Kids Garden Party – Just for kids, and its focus is strictly “hands on!”
This new interactive activity area is specifically designated for children and their parents, and consists of hands on fun! Create a new masterpiece out of recycled materials, plant a seed, or make a bird house! Other activities include, storytime with Ranger Rick, a performance by the one and only Bubbleman, and help Shelly the Snail celebrate her birthday! This exhibit will provide parents and kids a chance to learn together!

10:30am – Shelly the Snail’s Birthday Party!
You’re invited to help celebrate! Join Shelly the Snail as she gets ready for her garden birthday party. Kids will learn how old she is by counting the whorls on her shell. She’s hoping for rain as she makes up plates of the plants and dirt she and her relatives the slugs love to eat. No escargot here! Shelly is nocturnal, so this is a party under the stars. Kids will learn to make an explorer’s kit of simple materials to find garden party guests in their own yards and to make a party hat out of leaves.
Noon – Bubbleman
This environ-gentle Bubble Show gives you a glimpse of the power of using bubbles in our daily life as a metaphor for cleaning up the planet. The Bubbleman has won awards all over the world but his real reward is the children and their families who attend his performance!!
1:00pm - Storytime with Ranger Rick
Join in, and listen to a story with Ranger Rick!
